Coco peat is a Fermented Coir pith that is used as a base for growing plants. Coco peat is an inert material that is mainly used to prepare potting mix, grow seedlings/Cuttings, To top-up existing soil while repotting.

Directions:
Take 5 kg of block in a bucket or closed container/ tarpaulin sheet and soak the block in 25 litres of clean water and let it soak.
Then you can directly use the coco peat for sowing, repotting/ preparation of potting mix after draining excess water.
